New: Glass balustrade trims

Use trims to easily create a clean join between glass balustrade and adjacent flooring or panelling. This cover profile is a new product, but is compatible with all our Easy Glass Smart and Easy Glass Prime glass railing base shoes.

Structural glass balustrades have long been a sought-after feature, and will probably never go out of style. Railing installers all over the world strive to provide maximum transparency, looking for new ways of achieving an absolutely frameless result. One possibility is to locate the railing’s base shoe beneath the flooring or panelling. But you may have experienced yourself what challenges that brings. On the one hand you want a super clean join between the glass of the balustrade and the surrounding flooring or panelling, with none of the base shoe visible. On the other hand, it seems impossible to completely close the gap at the join, because materials such as glass and wood need space to shrink and expand. You asked us to come up with an easy-to-install solution and now we have the answer: Trims.

Trims: variants

A trim is a high-grade aluminium cover profile that comes in lengths of 5 metres. There are versions for both the top and fascia mount base shoes of our Easy Glass Smart and Prime glass railing systems. It is also important to choose the correct variant for your requirement:

1. Floor connection (between a glass balustrade and surrounding flooring)
2. Panelling connection (between a glass balustrade and adjacent panelling that is 3, 10 or 20 mm thick)

No extras needed

Apart from the trim profiles themselves, you don’t need to buy anything extra, and no additional measures are required. You don’t even need special rubbers. You can work with the usual Easy Glass rubber sets.

So, as you can see, trims will let you easily create a seamless transition between glass railings and the architectural structures around them. Troublesome gaps and base shoes in plain sight are a thing of the past.
