In the summer of 2017, a brand new private residence was completed in Loosdorf, a small village in the northeast of Austria. Situated on the back of the home, there is a beautiful terrace. Here our Duo Line baluster railing is providing excellent fall protection and security, and greatly complements the architecture of the building.
The design style of the new house is simultaneously contemporary and timeless. Modern finishes such as smooth white stucco and large windows combine with rustic elements such as natural stone. The posted railings on the back terrace and its stairs contribute to the overall high-grade look and feel.
The owners insisted on having modern railings in an anthracite grey colour. Something installer Zäune Zemann couldn’t to find that at any of its local hardware suppliers. On the internet they then stumbled upon Q-railing and immediately noticed our Duo Line railing with anthracite grey balusters.
The perfect balusters
Going through the project’s requirements, we could soon confirm Duo Line being highly suitable for the terrace. It is a railing solution with balusters made of lightweight aluminium, which are powder coated with a highly scratch-resistant, anthracite grey finish. They work great in combination with the system’s hints of stainless steel.
For this particular project Zäune Zemann went with a combination of infills: it alternated crossbars and glass. The glass infills being 10.76 mm thick and held by our MOD 42 glass clamp. A remarkable clamp, as it is approved according to the German AbZ standards. It all resulted in a remarkable and unique terrace feature.
