Coventry University in the United Kingdom is an innovative public research institution with a reputation for excellence. To support its vision of continuous improvement, the university was investing in development of its city campus. The on-going construction work included refurbishment of the Jaguar Building. This is a modern learning hub for graduate students. Tri-Dev, a Q-railing recommended installer, was awarded two construction tasks. Firstly, they were asked to install a new staircase and balustrade that wrapped around the atrium. The second task was the refurbishment of an existing staircase.
A sense of space
Tri-Dev’s solution brought together a combination of high-quality stainless steel and glass products. They installed a frameless Easy Glass® Slim balustrade that extended over 80 metres. Hardened glass was used and a cap rail of stainless steel. The atrium gained a powerful sense of light and open space.
