The Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, formerly known as the Amsterdam ArenA, is the largest stadium in the Netherlands. Outside the country, it is mainly known as the home of football club AFC Ajax, but it also hosts matches during national and international tournaments, including Euro 2020, and is a venue for concerts and other events. The ArenA, can seat nearly 55,000 people for football matches and 68,000 for concerts with centre-stage setups, all under a spectacular retractable roof.
No compromising on safety
The ArenA was completed in 1996, but has been renovated and upgraded several times over the years, with Q-railing being involved on a number of occasions. In a recent phase of work, the architects and installers elected to use our Easy Glass Pro and Easy Glass Max systems to create glass balustrades in several locations. A recommending feature of the systems was the fact that they could provide an uninterrupted view without compromising on safety – an important consideration in a stadium environment. The Easy Glass systems were also chosen for their renowned ease of installation. The glass balustrades created are 180 metres long.
