MODERN ARCHITECTURE, TRADITIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Polignano is a small but lively fishing village in the Italian province of Bari, on the Adriatic coast at the top of the ‘boot heel’. The village is built on steep cliffs and is famous for its caves, flowers and historic centre with winding narrow streets. It was a challenge to create a new residence so close to the old town. The project was all about integrating the new construction into traditional and natural elements while maximising views of the coast.

About the project
The architect took construction features typical for the Mediterranean and translated them into a modern architectural design. The Chiar di Luna Residence consists of block-shaped apartments set on various levels. The colours are light, and plenty of open space and glass has been used, ensuring that the inside of the buildings feels connected with the surroundings. Open stairs, pergolas and greenery in a sheltered courtyard add to this effect.

To achieve maximum views and a modern design, it is no surprise that the architect chose Easy Glass Pro full glass balustrades for the balconies and Easy Glass MOD 0747 adapters for glass railings on the stairways.
